I am excited to announce the details for the next Lottie + Doof Dinner at Floriole. (Remember the first dinner?) This time around, Sandra and I are thinking: Spring! After the long Midwestern winter, everyone is champing at the bit for some delicious, local fruits and vegetables. With that in mind, we’ve come up with a menu that celebrates the season and we can’t wait to share it with you:
All of this can be yours for $40. The dinners will be held on Monday, May 23rd and Tuesday May 24th at 7pm. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning (Tuesday, May 3rd) at 10am. You can call the bakery on 773-883-1313 or stop by and get tickets in person (full details here).
Sandra and I are especially happy that our friend Melissa Yen of Jo Snow Syrups has agreed to collaborate with us on a custom syrup for the event. The syrup will be featured in a starter cocktail, but bottles will also be available for purchase.
It is going to be a fun couple of nights. I hope to see some of you there!

Upon reading your menu, it made me wish I lived closer, but CA is a bit far away to drive for dinner:( Sounds marvelous. You have inspired me to make a home version of you menu! Thank you.

So bummed I can’t be there! Any chance you’ll do another dinner on a weekend night for those of us who’d make the pilgrimage from out-of-town? This looks delicious!

I wanna go too! Too bad – as usual there’s an ocean in the way! Have fun!

Laura- yay!
Lauren- Hmmm. I’m not sure. The bakery schedule is crazy on the weekends, so week nights have been better up until now. But you never know. We’ll keep it in mind.
Ruth- Silly ocean. I just read through your posts on sourdough starters and feel both anxious and excited. Still haven’t tried that yet, but I’m less scared of the idea.

Hello from a fellow Chicagoan.. if I weren’t living in Seattle right now, I would have bought tickets to your dinner! I found your blog via Bon Appetempt (Amelia is my closest friend!). LOVE your blog and your whole aesthetic. Also love Gwyneth Paltrow. Totally voted for you on Saveur. I’ll be in Chicago all summer and hope to run into you sometime! Perhaps at one of your dinners…

Oh, that sounds fantastic! I hope you do one for midsummer! Such as, say, the week of July 10-15 for example! Not that I’m biased >.> Will be honeymooning in Chicago then. Also that you have a special Jo Snow syrup for this one is awesome. I’m supremely jealous of those who can go! I have just discovered an Ann Arbor area dinner held in this fashion at Jefferson Market which will, sadly, be closing in five more dinners. So I am delighted to hear that the tradition carries on elsewhere.
